CactusVPN upgrades to the latest SoftEther version
Ladies and gentlemen! We are proud to announce an important security upgrade to CactusVPN services! Our VPN servers and VPN protocols run, starting right now, on the latest version of SoftEther. This new upgrade is the result of our constant efforts to ensure, at all times, the best protection there is for your online traffic.
Stronger Encryption with SoftEther
The important improvement is that we disabled SSLv3 which was vulnerable to POODLE attacks. This new version of SoftEther allows access to ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 cipher suite, which provides a stronger encryption. But the thing we are most proud of is that we managed to set our SoftEther servers to the ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 which is also practically impossible to break but, on top of that, has a better speed.
Why SoftEther is Great?
SoftEther, which was developed in 2014, uses 256-bit AES key certificate that is known worldwide for its security and encryption. However, the main reason why this particular VPN protocol is so great is that it managed to successfully integrate all the good features of other VPN protocols while eliminating their disadvantages. It is fast, secure and stable.
This moment represents yet another occasion to remind all our CactusVPN present or future clients that we provide the highest quality services and that our security features are top notch and ready to answer to a complete range of safety and privacy needs.
