New sign-in method on all Android devices for Smart DNS
We know you can’t get enough of the good news from CactusVPN, so we love bringing you more and more great news! Following the improvements we made to the Android TV and Amazon Fire TV login process, we decided it was time to extend that to all Android devices.
Time is of the essence in this day and age and according to our customers’ feedback, the sign in process was a bit too difficult and time consuming for the Smart DNS feature on Android devices. And since the modifications we made on Android TV and Amazon Fire TV were so well received, we decided to implement the same system on all Android devices.
As you may already know up until now, the sign in process for Smart DNS was completed by using the Smart DNS key which is automatically generated for each customer and is available in the Client Area. What every customer had to do was to copy the Smart DNS key from the Client Area and paste it in the sign-in screen in order to log in. While on Smart TVs this was impossible to do and the Smart DNS key had to manually entered in the required field, we first found a solution for the Smart TV apps, but we soon realised that the exact same solution can be applied to all Android devices in order to make the sign in process easier. And we did.
There is a new functionality in the Client Area which can help you generate a temporary 4 digit PIN code which is valid for 2 minutes instead of the long Smart DNS key, which can be used to log in on any Android device!
All this comes as an addition to the “remember me as signed in” functionality that was already available in our Android app, as well as the automatical sign in. Things are just getting better and better.
It is now much easier for you to watch your favorite shows and gain access to hours of premium content and endless fun with the CactusVPN Android app. The sign in has never been easier and you can stream audio and video content from anywhere in the world. Forget about geo-restrictions in no time!
