Using this method you do not have to sign in to your account each time you need to validate the IP. Add this link to your browser favorites/bookmarks and your IP address will be validated every time you load this URL into your browser.
Important! Do not share this link! It is unique for every CactusVPN user. If you share it, other people will have access to your Smart DNS service and you will not be able to use it.
Part II. Change your Android TV Box DNS addresses
This has to be done only once.
It is important to save your original DNS settings before making any changes. You might need them in case you will want to switch back to your original settings.
Start your Android TV Box.
Go to “Settings” (1).
Select “Wi-Fi” (2).
Choose your Wi-Fi network (3).
Select “Advanced Options” (4).
Choose “IP settings” (5).
Choose “Static” (6).
You have to get an IP from the same IP range as a router. To do that just use your router’s IP and change the last group of digits. For example, if your router’s IP is 192.168.1.1 you should set your Android TV Box to something like 192.168.1.100 (7). You can notice that first three groups of digits remained the same and only the last one changed.Click on “Next” (8).
In the “Gateway” field (9) enter the IP of your router and click “Next” (10).
In the “Enter Network Prefix Length” field (11) enter 24 and click “Next” (12).
On the next screen enter the CactusVPN primary DNS address in the “DNS 1” field (13).You can find them in Settings -> DNS Servers in Your Account on our website.
Press “Next” (14).
Enter the CactusVPN secondary DNS address in the “DNS 2” field (15). Press “Next” (16).
