Remember! You have to validate your IP address each time it changes. If your Smart DNS service is not working, just try to validate your IP address again.
You also have other two options to validate an IP address:
Using this method you do not have to sign in to your account each time you need to validate the IP. Add this link to your browser favorites/bookmarks and your IP address will be validated every time you load this URL into your browser.
Important! Do not share this link! It is unique for every CactusVPN user. If you share it, other people will have access to your Smart DNS service and you will not be able to use it.
Part II. Change your Play Station DNS addresses
This has to be done only once.
It is important to save your original DNS settings before making any changes. You might need them in case you will want to switch back to your original settings.
Start your PS4 and choose “Settings” (3) from the main menu.
Select “Network” (4).
Go to “Set Up Internet Connection” (5).
On the next screen select “Use Wi-Fi” (6) or “Use Lan Cable” depending on how are you now connected to the internet.
Select “Custom” (7).
Select your Wi-Fi Network (8) in case you are connecting via Wi-Fi. If you are connected using a Lan Cable this step will be skipped.
Choose “Automatic” (9) from the “IP Address Settings” screen.
Choose “Do Not Specify” (10) from the “DHCP Host Name” screen.
Choose “Manual” (11) from the “DNS Settings” screen.
Complete the following fields (12):In the “Primary DNS” and “Secondary DNS” fields enter CactusVPN DNS Server addresses. You can find them in Settings -> DNS Servers in Your Account on our website.Tap on “Next” (13).
Select “Automatic” (14) for MTU settings.
Select “Do Not Use” (15) on Proxy server screen.
Next you should see “Internet settings updated” message.
